Culture & Heritage
Camel rides appear on most desert safaris and at heritage sites — short loops, photo stops, and occasional longer treks in Liwa and RAK.
What to expect
Short treks of 10–20 minutes at desert camps or heritage sites — mount from a seated position, sway at walking pace, dismount with handler help. Longer Liwa treks exist but are rare for tourists. Usually included in safaris or AED 50–100 as a standalone camp add-on.

Common questions
Reputable camps use well-kept working camels with rest rotations. Avoid operators that overload rides or keep animals in poor condition.
Usually on a lap with an adult on the same camel, age 3+ depending on operator policy.
